of Individuals With IDD and Autism
At the Adult Training Facility, we serve individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism 18 years of age and older. Extended School Year and transition programs are available for individuals ages 14 through 21 who are currently in school. We also offer an Older Adult Daily Living Program that provides day services to adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism ages 60 and over.
The Adult Training Facility, with program locations in Washington and Waynesburg, is an individualized teaching and training program whose primary goal is to support adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. Licensed by the Department of Human Services, the program operates within the community and in the facility, which includes equipment and supplies to enhance the wide variety of activities offered to each individual.
Separate community vocational and volunteer training programs are also available to all adults involved in the Adult Training Facility. These programs provide real, hands-on vocational and social skills training.
At the Washington County site, a separate program operates within the Adult Training Facility for individuals 60 years of age and older. The Older Adult Daily Living Program provides day services to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. This program is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and focuses on enabling seniors to fully participate in, enjoy, and enhance their retirement.

The Adult Training Facility supports individuals in their goals to increase independence and develop life skills, as reflected in their ISPs. ATF individuals range in age from school-age through their senior years, and are encouraged to take part in various community opportunities.

Services can begin once a physical, TB test, and approved ISP are acquired and staffing levels are met. Generally, this process takes a few weeks.
No, all of our services are funded via the waivers, school funding (14 years to graduation), and private pay.
Yes, individuals with an IDD diagnosis with a Consolidated Waiver, PFDS Waiver, or school funding are eligible. Older Adults may also be eligible for our services.
We have facilities located in Greene and Washington county.
Individuals are involved in a wide range of independent as well as socially focused activities within the facilities. They are also given volunteer and other community-based activities to participate in.
ATF individuals can also take part in Work of Heart, a group based out of the Washington site that spends each day in the community volunteering and learning job skills.
The Older Adult Daily Living Program focuses on maintaining daily living skills, physical exercise, health monitoring, community integration, cooking, and other recreational/leisure time activities.
